“We used Home Wizards to replace our rotted cedar siding with Hardie plank, and to replace our old windows. We’ve had plenty of remodeling jobs done on the previous home we’ve lived in, but nothing of this magnitude. Home Wizards turned out to be a great choice, though, and we’re so glad we had the chance to work with them. The initial calls were done with Scott, who was great to work with. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Hardie plank and explained the installation (and why they do certain things) clearly. He made a really cool computer model of our house that we were able to play with to decide on colors, Hardie plank design, etc. He clearly put a lot of thought into his estimates, rather than promising low-ball numbers to get us to sign a contract. (And what we wound up paying was more reasonable than other estimates we got.) He was patient with all of our questions, no matter how silly, and made us feel very comfortable. During the remodel, we worked with Scott’s son, Adam, who was also fantastic. He was there to check on progress every day, making sure nothing got missed. He was responsive and always letting us know when weather would impact the work and for how long. Their crew was quick, friendly, and respectful of us and our property. We have a toddler who loves to play outside, so the extra care they gave to sweeping the property for bits of metal and debris every night before they left was SO appreciated. Adam came by each night that they worked to check progress and make sure nothing was overlooked. There were some issues with the windows, caused entirely by the manufacturer. Adam was quick to note them and get them resolved without anything needed on our end. Once they were ready, they got them put up quickly, and he inspected each one to make sure they were done correctly. The siding and windows have made an enormous difference in the look and feel of the house. Being able to actually open our windows this fall has been wonderful and we’re so glad we chose Home Wizards!”

We found Scott at a Home Show a couple years ago and liked what we saw and what he said. We had to postpone our renovation because of health issues, but Scott and Cindy stayed in touch and when it came time, we had them change out the siding, soffit, new windows and new gutters, a new door and new paint. Our house looks new again. With the insulated windows and house wrap, I expect better heating and cooling efficiency as well. Recently purchased a house with a known issue with a sagging 2 story deck as well as a poorly built set of external stairs. It was complicated enough that it required us to get an engineer in to provide a plan for everything that needed to be done. Scott was able to take that plan and provide an initial estimate on the work with enough detail to show he fully understood the problem and what needed to be done, something that most other contractors weren’t even willing to touch, prior to us purchasing the home (allowing us to properly negotiate). Because of his attention to detail and thoroughness it was an easy choice to go with Scott over the other contractors who did provide a bid. We had the pleasure of working with Home Wizards twice recently. The first time was fall 2016. It was a major renovation to the outside of our home. The doors and windows were replaced, the siding was removed and replaced with hardiplank, the gutters were replaced and toppers added, and the best part was lots of stone was added. It really updated the appearance of our home. It was a huge project but Scott finished on time and on budget. Scott did lots of pre- planning with great attention to detail. Hired Home Wizards to paint the siding in July 2016. The subcontractors they hired did not do a good job, they did not properly caulk the siding. I emailed Scott and Cindy (the owners) and complained about the poor job on the caulking on April 2017.
